Christmas Day

On Christmas Day we went to my Uncle Jerry's home. We swung by and picked up my Aunt Shirley and headed up for some good food. Only sad part is I only took like three pictures the whole day!

We didn't stay long after eating because we where under tornado watch. It got really bad right after we made it home.

* favorite thing I ate on Christmas day was the sweet potatoe casserole! It was soooo good!

Christmas with the Rainey's

We used to do a Christmas/ thanksgiving gathering with my Moms side of the family every year. After my MawMaw passed away everyone kind of started doing there own thing. A bunch of us decided that we wanted to restart this tradition and it was really nice. We all went to my uncle and aunts home in Baton Rouge. We have a rather large side so we drew names and each person you drew a name for you had to buy a gag gift and a $20 gift. It was really fun to see the gag gifts being opened. Unfortunately my phone went dead by this time so I didn't get any pictures of this.

We also used to play tons of games but this year we only played bingo.
Next year we are gonna have lots more games which is always a party favorite. Now we did dance a little to oldies which is always a fun way to spend time together.

There where quite a few that couldn't make it like David, Casey, Lauren, my aunt Debbie her crew other than Rae and Minner and garland. Maybe next year!

Christmas with my Mom

I am really behind on posts for some reason.
The Thursday before Christmas my mom, step dad and brother came over to have our family get together and exchange gifts. My other brother Casey and his girlfriend where not able to make it due to him having to work.

We got pizza from a local place called pizza Pete's which is amazing! Just cheese is to die for.

Today we made pipe cleaner candy cane ornaments. These are super easy and very cute! My little ones loved it.

This is our Christmas family portrait. Also the kids picture. I loved how they came out considering I did NOTHING with my hair!

I wanted to show a little Christmas "love" on how the kids and I decorated this year. We went really light because we didn't know if we where gonna be moving in the middle of the holidays.

The kids and I did a mini memory tree. We wished we put up our BIG tree with our memories on it but we just didn't have the room or time to.

We did put our snow men up!!!
