God is good!

So, I just noticed that the post I wrote late last night was not posted. It went to my drafts. So I just posted it but wanted to follow it with the update. Are you ready for it??

We got the house!

I am so excited about this! :)
I get the keys today!!!
We are not buying just yet we are renting a small house right by my Dad's. The one I posted about previously. I am beyond excited about this. Now we have our own place here close to Dad and Granny. The kids can just jump on their bikes and ride over to either house.
**smiles**

The good news is we can move our stuff slowly so that makes it 100% less stressful.

Till next time,
~Val

I think we found one!

I normally don't get to excited or tell things that haven't happen or don't even know if it is meant to be but I just had to blog about this. Ok, so as you all know David and I have been going to church in Pine and the kids go to school at the church school. I take care of Granny during the day so Dad can help teach the High Schoolers. Well Granny and Dad live in a small older neighborhood and we are looking for a house to rent ONLY closer to them and church/school. Low and behold a house in the neighborhood that someone was renting for years is vacant!!! Yes, I said it vacant. ;) I tried find the man online that owns it but i had no luck with it. So, I decided to go to the neighboring house and see if I could get a number or way to contact him.
So I am so excited because tomorrow I am going to contact him and I am praying that he is willing to rent it. This is all up in the air and we are still praying about it but I just pray so hard that it could be the "one"!
 Till next time.....

I am always behind.

I wrote a post a few times on Saturday night and everytime the picture loader was not working. I wanted to do a threw the years of Day and I. It was our 11th wedding anniversary. We didn't do anything special on the day of our anniversary because I had been asked a month in advance to help host a baby shower. Parties are my speciality! ;) In exchange for helping my grandparents wanted to keep the kids the following weekend. So we took them up on this wonderful offer and planned us a get a way. I previously posted that we are going to Monmouth Plantation and we are truly excited about this trip. I am glad that we have wonderful family that we can leave the kids with and not worry. DJ will be with Poppy aka my Dad and the girls are off to PawPaw and Nana Shirley's house.

So with out further ado.....here are our pictures I have gather threw out the  11 years!

No more!

I've come to a stopping point on something. I am giving up soft drinks!! All of them. My rootbeer, my orange soda, even coke zero! Lol I'm laughing at the last one because I don't even like coke zero:)

I want to stop putting things that are not great for me in my body.

The next thing I am giving up is going to be the most difficult but I know with prayer I an do anything. It's chocolate! Yes, I said it! Chocolate has been a big part of my weight gain. I tend to run and find candy when I am depressed or not feeling well or really just anytime. I eat brownie batter like it's gonna be my last meal. I just needed a stopping point. I've tried saying I would only have these two things in moderation but that never goes well.

Don't tell the kids but the are off of them too! Lol well they don't have to be completely off of them but they won't be getting it from the house. :)

I am praying that this will help with my energy levels and weight loss.

101 in 1001 days

I started a 101 in 1001 days list. FINALLY!! I have been meaning to do this for sometime and after reading my cousins 2nd one I figured it was time to stop saying and just make one. I borrowed some ideas and some ideas I came up with on my own. I also have left a few to be determinded because alot can change in 2.75 years! The link is below. Enjoy!

Guess what I got?

Better late than never.

Emilee is the big 8!
Emilee Grace turned eight on October 2nd so I am alittle late with my post but alot has been going on.

She is such a sweet little lady. She has grown so much this past year not only in size but intellectually. She was supposed to start 2nd grade and has skipped 2nd and on to 3rd! Very Very Proud Momma.

On to her birthday, We started out with a small little party with family and a few friends. She loved it. The theme was Littlest Petshop at her request. I served all of her favs-black olives, pickles, okra, donuts.
The cake was made by a lady by our church and she did a wonderful job. You could smell it outside the box. Kaylee and Emilee helped me make cupcakes with peace signs, E, and the number 8 on them. She thought they where really cute!

After the party was over we contiuned the fun at the mall with a little alone time with Day, Emilee and I. We really wanted her to feel special on her day. We stopped at Build a Bear, and The Disney Store. She loved spending time in the build a bear workshop dressing up teddy and picking him out new clothes, a bed and he even got a stroller! When we stopped in the Disney Store she picked out a Belle dress and some really cute shoes to match. Day and I bought her the cute red outfit, red shoes and head band. (shown at the bottom) She is one BLESSED little girl.
We wanted to take her to a nice sit down place to eat so she could have some really good dessert and have someone sing to her but she was so hungry from all the shopping that we ate in the food court at Raising Caines. She loves the sauce there.

Once we left the mall we took her for some night bowling and Guanny, Pop, Uncle casey and Uncle Zearl joined us.

All and all it was the perfect day!

please excuse the back drop. I lost the other panel and we are in the process of redoing our pantry.
Daddy and baby bird shopping!

Birthday princess bowling!

Goodie bags for friends!

New outfit!

I brought cake for her class.

This is where David and I are going for our 11th wedding anniversary. I am beyond happy over this because I have always wanted to go to Natchez to tour the Plantations. We are going to go for two nights, tour fours of the Plantations of our choice and two carrage rides. Plus a formal dinner and of course breakfast.
